The Southern Division Task Force (SDTF) conducted an intelligence-led operation across the Central and Southern Divisions, resulting in the arrest of four individuals for possession of firearms and ammunition.

According to the TTPS, between 11:00 p.m. on Monday, 8th July 2025, and 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 9th July 2025, SDTF officers executed several Ajipa search warrants targeting priority offenders.

As a result, four individuals were arrested:

A 24-year-old man from John Jules Trace, Fyzabad

A 36-year-old man of Thick Village, Siparia Old Road, Siparia

A 22-year-old man of Guapo Main Road, Fyzabad

A 20-year-old man of Siparia Old Road, Fyzabad

All four individuals have been charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition. The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Simon, Superintendent Jaikaran, Assistant Superintendent Ramsaran, Inspector Wilkinson, Acting Sergeant Phoolchan, and was directly supervised by Sergeant Steele and Acting Corporal Mitchell. The team also included officers attached to the Southern Division Task Force.
