Several Caribbean people including four Trinidadians will be recognised on England’s 2020 New Year’s Honours List. The people listed include singer Billy Ocean, actor Rudolph Walker, and television presenter Lib Dem peer Floella Benjamin. Also included on the list is Sam Mendes.

West Indies greats Clive Lloyd and Gordon Greenidge will also be recognised for their contribution to West Indies cricket. Ocean, will be appointed a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to music.
