Gary Postpones Month-Long Vacation, Says Now May Not Be The Best Time For Leave

By Newsroom

Police Commissioner Gary Griffith has taken a decision to postpone his month long vacation, which was due to to begin tomorrow, October 2nd.

It would have been his first vacation leave since being appointed as Police Commissioner in 2018.

At a press briefing held at the Police Administration on Friday morning, Griffith said the decision was taken after he became aware that there was an alleged plan to undermine high-level investigations during his absence.

The Top Cop lamented that he was “fighting Trojan horses in his own camp”.

Griffith had planned to travel to Ireland during his vacation period, however previously he said he intended to closely monitor all current major investigations.
