Government Imposes New Opening Hours For Hardware Stores

By Newsroom

Effective tomorrow, April 20th, hardware stores will only be allowed to open on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, between 8am and noon.

The latest COVID-19 restriction was announced by the Ministry of Health on Sunday, and will remain in effect until April 30th in the first instance.

The restriction applies to electrical and plumbing establishments, and was agreed upon after consultation between Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh and the Minister of National Security, Stuart Young.

Government says it will continue to implement measures aimed at safeguarding the health of the population and will keep the public informed of these developments.
