Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, is taking a vacation for the first time since he was appointed as Top Cop two years ago.

In his absence the Deputy Commissioner, Mc Donald Jacob will act in the Top Cop’s position.

It comes at a time when there’s heavy criticism of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service from some quarters, particularly regarding the handling of last Tuesday’s $22million dollar raid and prior to that, the Commissioner’s handling of an apparent difference in opinion between him and the Prime Minister regarding COVID-19 regulations.
