Griffith Tells Citizens: “Spreading False Info About Victim Can Traumatize Family”

By Newsroom

Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, notes with concern a video circulating on social media that the internal organs of a person recently found dead, had been removed.

The CoP says that based on a preliminary report from the investigators who were on the scene when the body was found, there is no evidence that any organs of the person were removed.

He said a full report on the circumstances surrounding the death of the person will be given after a post-mortem is conducted.

Commissioner Griffith says that once again, persons on social media have gone out of their way to cause further trauma and distress to a family grieving for the loss of a loved one.

The CoP is again advising social media to be careful what they post, especially when the post is inaccurate. Such posts, he says, cause more pain for family members who still do not know how the victim died.
