Guyana will have no President until their High Court rules on Region Four results

By Newsroom

There will be no swearing in of a new President in Guyana until the case presented by the PPP has been heard and a decision has been made. This was the decision made by Chief Justice Roxane George, a short while ago (March 8), who said that the court has jurisdiction in the case brought by a supporter of the PPP, who requested full verification of the vote for Region Four at Monday’s General and Regional elections.

The Guyana Elections Commission has said that they will abide by the court’s decision.
