There are now 132 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, as the Health Ministry recorded 32 new cases of the virus in its evening update (August 8).

Eighteen cases were recorded in the morning update.

The Ministry says the 32 new positive cases are from samples taken during the period 30th July, 2020 to August 5th, 2020, adding that it is not representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

Eighteen of the new cases are contacts of recently positive COVID-19 patients, while 14 cases are pending epidemiological investigation.
