Heritage Petroleum is correcting claims that there was a fresh oil spill in the Woodland area on Thursday, clarifying that the oil sheen discovered in the swamp was actually from the spill which occurred on November 18th.

The company says clean-up of the watercourses are 90% complete, adding that it is in ongoing communication with the relevant regulatory agencies, to ensure its environmental response is in keeping with the health and safety standards.
