The Heritage Petroleum Company has issued a statement on Wednesday’s incident in which a supply vessel operating in the company’s north acreage field has sunk after an accident this morning.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday staff of Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) received an SOS from a vessel in the North Field.  Heritage immediately dispatched a response team and rescued the crew onboard ‘Liftboat Daniela’.   The sinking vessel is owned by Trinity Group of Companies.

The rescued crew was taken to Heritage’s Marine Base and subsequently transported for medical evaluation.

The vessel ‘Liftboat Daniela’ was not contracted by, or performing service for Heritage at the time of the incident.
