Thirty-eight-year-old Siobhan Rogers was shot dead as gunmen approached her and her boyfriend as they were leaving their business place in St. Joseph on Monday night.

Her partner, Edson Breedy, who is a medical doctor at the Mt. Hope Hospital, managed to escape unharmed.

The incident happened around 8:45pm

After the incident, Breedy rushed the young woman, who worked as a medical lab technician, to the Mt. Hope Hospital however she was pronounced dead by 9:13pm.

Investigators are exploring the likelihood that the incident was a botched robbery.

Homicide investigators recovered two spent 40 caliber rounds and one live round of ammunition when they visited the scene. 

Officers from the Region 2 Homicide Bureau of Investigations and St. Joseph CID are continuing enquiries.
