Hunters can purchase their State Game Licenses from today, in preparation for the opening of the hunting season on December 4th. 

The licenses will be available across six of the Ministry’s Forestry Division offices, between the hours of 8am to 2pm.

The issuance of state hunting licenses had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In mid-September, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries announced a decision to postpone the sale of State Game Licenses for the purpose of hunting as set out in the Conservation of Wildlife Act, after consultation with the Ministry of Health which advised that the activity encourages congregation.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley announced that the ban would be lifted.
