Attorney Gerald Ramdeen has sought an emergency court hearing after his client, talk show host Ian Alleyne, was allegedly banned from leaving the Caura Hospital on Tuesday, even after being given his discharge papers.

Mr. Alleyne has been under quarantine at the facility since March 24th, after testing positive for the virus.

In a live Facebook video on Tuesday evening, a visibly irate Alleyne said he had been tested negative for the virus and was thus given the green light to leave the facility, however he was later informed that there was an error in his results and he would no longer be allowed to go home.
