Jamaica, which confirmed its first COVID-19 case yesterday, has earmarked J$7 billion in contingency funding to tackle the Corona Virus viral threat.
The declaration of that one case- a woman who arrived on the island from the UK and tested positive- has prompted one promoter to cancel all carnival related events while another has indicated that it is keeping a keen eye on developments. ( See below)
