Jamaica’s Prime Minister Prime Minister Andrew Holness has extended the curfew hours for the Easter holiday. He made the disclosure during a media briefing at Jamaica House, earlier today.
Holness said the current nightly curfew which begins at 8:00 pm and ends at 6:00 am daily, will remain in place but from tomorrow, Thursday, April 9, the curfew will begin at 8:00 pm and end at 7:00 am on Friday, April 10.
From Good Friday, April 10 to Easter Sunday, April 13, the curfew will commence at 3:00 pm and end at 7:00 am. On Easter Monday, the curfew will start at 3:00 pm and end at 5:00 am on Tuesday, April 14. Following Easter the curfew will run from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am starting on Tuesday, April 14 continuing to April 21.
