Jamaica sees another spike in COVID-19 cases

There has been another spike in COVID-19 cases in Jamaica. The island’s authorities have confirmed that they now have 223 confirmed cases of the virus. This is after 27 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll remains at five.

The information was revealed by the Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Christopher Tufton during a press briefing at Jamaica House earlier today. Twenty-six of the new cases are linked to the business process outsourcing (BPO) entity Alorica in Portmore, St Catherine.
