Actor, singer and comedian Jamie Foxx seems to be on the mend as he has been announced as the host of a new musical game show in the US.
The announcement comes just days after the Oscar and Grammy-winning star’s family confirmed he had been discharged from the hospital following a medical incident. His family and friends have remained tight-lipped about the nature of the medical complication.
At the time of his hospitalisation in April, he was reportedly taken to a hospital in Atlanta while filming a movie called Back In Action with Cameron Diaz.
His daughter Corinne, 29, will co-host the new show called We Are Family, which will air on the Fox network. According to reports about the show members of a 100-strong studio audience will attempt to guess the identity of the celebrity that the performer is related to in a bid to win up to $100,000 (£80,000).
Foxx and his daughter are already the co-hosts of another musical game show on Fox called Beat Shazam. Actor Nick Cannon and reality star Kelly Osbourne have stepped in to fill their roles while Foxx is recuperating.
