Judiciary Speaks Out Over “Character Assassination” Of Judge

A social media post which was recently featured on the Facebook Page “Expose TT”,  of an image purporting to be Justice Aboud, has caught the attention of the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago, which equates the post to an attempt of “character assassination”. 

The post, which has now disappeared from the page- which features predominantly anti-PNM rhetoric- was captioned “IMPROPER Aboud- is this the same James Aboud who presided over the politically charged EMBD matter attending a PNM fund raising fete in February this year? He cannot be so reckless.”

It came on the heels of Thurday’s ruling by Justice Aboud for a trial to commence in the corruption matter brought by the Estate Management and Business Development Company (EMBD) against ex employees, including former Housing Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal. Justice Aboud ruled that the EMBD submitted sufficient evidence to support its corruption claim.
