Kareem Marcelle will be the People’s National Movement (PNM) candidate for the Laventille West seat in the next general election. This was confirmed at the party’s screening yesterday December 2.

Marcelle who is an attorney, will replace incumbent Member of Parliament Fitzgerald Hinds who has been the constituency’s representative since 2015 and announced that he would not be going up for reelection last week.

The PNM also announced several other successful candidates last evening.

St Ann’s East: Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly

St Joseph: Terrence Deyalsingh

Toco-Sangre Grande: Roger Monroe
