By Newsroom

Grammy award-winning Koffee has plans to collaborate with hip hop artists, which she revealed during an interview with Billboard Magazine before the Grammy Awards Ceremony on Sunday night.

The 19-year-old singer became the first female to earn a Grammy in the Reggae Category ahead of the other nominees  Morgan Heritage, Julian Marley and Steel Pulse. The Best Reggae Album category was first awarded in 1985 and  35 years later, a rising artist made history when she took the award for her debut album Rapture which features the hit single Toast.

“I’m very honoured, I’m very happy and I’m satisfied, I would say,” Koffee told reporters.

“I put a lot of work into my first project and to see that it has been recognized on this level has really fulfilled me so I’m very thankful.”
