The Trinidad and Tobago dancehall community has lost one of its most promising stars, with the sudden passing of K-Lion on Wednesday.

The cause of the young star’s death has not yet been confirmed, however initial reports suggest he suffered a seizure and a subsequent heart attack.

The 26 year old, born Kwinton Thomas, is known best for his tunes “Malandros”, “Private Zess” and “Rise Up”.

Lion, who hailed from Belmont, began gaining momentum on the local dancehall front around 2017, and to date has racked up millions of views on Youtube and Apple for his music.
