Majah Hype Attempts To Shift Blame, Says Ex Was The Abuser In Relationship

By Newsroom

If Majah Hype fans were hoping he would offer an honest and sincere apology for the abuse allegations leveled against him by his former partner- Friday was not the day that prayer was answered.

Instead, the comedian took to his Instagram in a nearly hour and a half long live stream, to not only claim his innocence in the relationship- but to point fingers at his former fiancée, Latisha, saying she was the one who physically assaulted him during the duration of their two years together.

“I warning every man out there, don’t allow women to hit you, don’t let women subject you to being abused,” he said, saying he never came forward about the alleged abuse because he was ashamed as a man.

Earlier this week Hype’s ex hosted an Instagram live of her own,  in which she alleged she was abused by him on countless occasions. (Click here for the original story)

One day later, a sex tape of hers was leaked and began making the rounds- something she accused the entertainer of doing.

But Majah Hype insisted on Friday that he was not the culprit.

“I know Kirby has a son, no way in the world would I release any video of her in a compromising position, not only would it make her look bad, it makes me look bad,” he said.

Based on the comments from the video, which has gathered over 136,000 views, fans don’t seem sold on the entertainer’s claim of innocence.

“All You’re Doing Is Making It Seem Like You Was In The Right To Hit Her, When You Wasn’t. NOTHING Warrants Hitting A Woman, Abusive Or Not.. Tell Her To Seek Help And Walk Away If She Doesn’t,” one male user wrote.

Another user, a woman, wrote: “All you proved was that you were BOTH in a verbally toxic relationship. All you proved was that she was not a saint, which no one said she was. You did not give RECEIPTS THAT YOUR LIFE was at risk and as a result, you defended yourself. Where are said receipts?” she asked, calling the entertainer “a classic textbook narcissist” and  a “disgrace to real Black kings.”

Others had a bit more empathy for the situation, writing: “The truth is known by you both. I pray healing and clarity along with peace.”
