A police investigation has been launched after the body of an elderly man was found at his Sangre Chiquito home on Wednesday morning, with what appeared to be chop wounds.

According to reports, friends of 70 year old Kevin Trotman visited his home at around 6:30 where they observed his lifeless body.

A trail of blood was said to be seen from the living room area of the house to the back door, where Trotman’s body was located.

Trotman was reportedly last seen alive around 7pm on Tuesday.

An autopsy is expected to confirm his cause of death.
