Man Dies After Palo Seco Home Collapses From Landslide

A Landslip which occurred at Rancho Quemado Trace in Palo Seco on Sunday demolished a wooden structure, killing one of its occupants.

The identification of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.

Six people, including two teenagers and two young children, lived at the wooden structure. 

The landslip became progressively worse following torrential showers which started on Sunday morning. 

Trinidad and Tobago is currently under a Yellow Level Adverse Weather alert, in effect until 6pm on Sunday.

Fire officials and police, as well as the District Medical Officer, visited the site alongside emergency responders from the Siparia Regional Corporation..
