A soldier has been detained in relation to an accident on the Priority Bus Route, where an Oropune man, identified as Ynolde Jack lost his life, after he was knocked down by a car. 

According to police Jack was trying to cross the cross the PBR near Thomas Trace in Arouca, when has hit by a car driven by the 24-year-old army private. The private also suffered injuries as a result of the accident.
