The St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in St Augustine and Our Lady of Fatima in Curepe will be closed this weekend and for all of next week, as the presiding priest was recently exposed to someone who tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. 

An advisory sent out by the church on Friday confirmed that Rev Dr. Arnonld Francis will be in self isolation at the presbytery of the Curepe parish until further notice. 

Father Francis was exposed to the positive patient while at the St. Augustine Church.

The church urged parishoners: “You are advised to continue practicing all the MoH protocols of which you’re well aware. Please be calm as we take steps to take care of all concerned.”
