The Medical Association of T&T has issued a statement, condemning media coverage which linked the passing of former Energy Minister Franklin Khan and Ijaz Hannif- the retiree who died after developing blood clots which led to paralysis- to both men taking the Covid-19 vaccine before they died.

Expressing “great disappointment” in the sensationalization of the issue, the Association pointed to the fact that there’s absolutely no evidence that the deaths were linked to the dose.
