Medium Bands Panyard Judging

Panyard judging for Medium bands begins tonight and continues throughout the island for the rest of the week, ending in Tobago on Saturday night.

Altogether 24 bands will be judged to determine who will make it to the national semifinals for both large and medium bands which will be held at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Sunday, February 9th.

 The Reigning Champs are Pan Elders from San Fernando. The Judges will first head to Power Stars on the Western Main Road at seven o’clock tonight after which the second bad to be judged will be the NLCB Valley harps at Petit Valley, followed by Pandemonium at Norfolk Street in Belmont, ending at Eastern Quarry in Laventille with Courts Sound Specialists facing the judges. On Wednesday night the judges will head to the Eastern Region starting with Potential Symphony in Barataria and ending at Sangre Grande Cordettes. Nine bands will be judged on Wednesday night. The judges shift to South Trinidad on Thursday and Friday when eight bands will be judged- four on each night. The final night for panyard judging in the Medium category is on Saturday, in the Tobago Region. The Medium Band finals will be staged in Tobago, for the first time, on February 16th.
