Member of Police Service Commission Resigns, OTP Confirms

By Newsroom

Courtney Mc Nish has resigned from his position as a member of the Police Service Commission, effective immediately.

A statement from the Office of the President this afternoon confirmed that President Paula Mae Weekes accepted Mc Nish’s resignation, which comes amid extreme criticism of the PSC’s failure to appoint a substantive Police Commissioner after Gary Griffith’s contract ended on August 17th.

Mr. Mc Nish, an HR and industrial relations expert by profession, was appointed to the PSC in June of last year after being nominated by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley.
