Met Office Warns Of Surge In Sahara Dust In Early May

The beginning of May is predicted to see a significant surge in Saharan dust concentrations, according to theTrinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS).

The TTMS says the conditions are expected to intensify by May 2nd, however those with sensitivity may experience the impact as early as tomorrow (May 1st).

The dust event is likely to be a lengthy one and will possibly persist beyond May 9th. As such, the TTMS advises those with respiratory challenges to make the necessary precautions.
