The search for 18 year old Ashanti Riley came to a bitter end on Friday morning, as police found the young woman’s body in Santa Cruz, five days after she went missing. 

Initial reports suggest the body was found nude, in a shallow watercourse in La Canoa, Santa Cruz shortly after 8am. 

Ashanti was last seen alive on Sunday, when she boarded a taxi in her San Juan hometown.

Prior to finding her body, police detained the taxi driver- who is the main suspect- for questioning.

Just one day ago, another missing woman, Krystal Primus-Espinoza, was found dead one day after being reported missing. 

Her body was found at a beach in Toco, mere hours after police found her wrecked vehicle a short distance away.
