Morocco are into the 2022 Fifa World Cup quarterfinals for the first time ever after a 3-0 penalty win against Spain on Tuesday.

Neither side managed to score a goal in the match that went into extra time.

Morocco is only the fourth African team to reach the quarter finals after Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002 and Ghana in 2010.

Their supporters sang, chanted and banged their drums for the entire 120 minutes, with loud piercing whistles ringing around every time Spain were on the ball.

The country will face Portugal at the Quarterfinal game, after the latter won its match 6-1 against Switzerland.
