The 27 year old Jamaican national who was dealt a case of vigilante justice earlier this week after allegedly being caught with a 14 year old girl, was denied bail when he appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate today.

Prior to his court appearance, the suspect was under police guard at hospital after he was beaten by residents of Lion Drive, Orange Grove Road, Chase Village on Monday, who told police they caught him assaulting the teen.

The residents detained the suspect and later contacted the Freeport Police Station.

Officers responded and took both the bleeding suspect and his victim to hospital for medical observation.

The suspect was subsequently admitted to hospital and remains under the watch of Child Protection Unit officers. 

He will reappear in court on February 12th.
