These three men who were charged with shooting at the police were denied bail when they appeared in court on Thursday, hours after they were held.

Kyle Barker, aka ‘Wiggles’ and Miguel Wallen both of whom are  22 years old from Arima were charged along with 36-year-old Michael Mc Clean of Morvant with possession of firearm and ammunition as well as possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life.

They were reported to have been at a “police-involved shooting incident in the Arima district on Thursday 13th February.

 “During the incident, a fourth suspect was fatally wounded by officers. He was later identified as Akiel Kalon Hypolite,” a news release from the TT Police Service explained.

 They were not called upon to plead when they appeared before  Magistrate Cheron Raphael, in the Arima Magistrates’ Court.

 All three will re-appear in court on Thursday 19th March.
