None of the police recruits have left training

Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, has disclosed that all 199 police recruits were present at assembly today at the Police Training Academy and that none of them expressed any desire to abandon training.

In a statement the the CoP said: “contrary to what may have been reported, all 199 recruits were given the option of leaving the training facility, to date, not one of them abandoned their training. These are the men and women we encourage to become part of the TTPS, this is the pride and ‘mettle’ our people are made of. I commend them.”
The Trinidad Newsday published an article today stating that some of the recruits wanted to leave training for fear of the Covid-19 virus.”

The trainees were addressed by ACP, Administration, Pamela Schullera- Hinds and Snr. Supt. Police Academy, Ken Charles on behalf of the Commissioner of Police at the assembly.
