One woman was killed and six others were injured in an accident along the North Coast Road near Las Cuevas. Crystal Julien, 29, of  Barataria was the lone fatality among the passengers in a panel van who were reported to have been on a party on a yacht off the coast of Las Cuevas on  Saturday night. Crystal is a mother of three children.

Reports suggest that the van skidded causing the driver to lose control causing the van to overturn. The passengers who were in the tray were thrown out when the accident happened around four o’clock on Sunday morning. The six injured persons, four of whom are from Maracas, have been warded at both the Port of Spain Hospital and the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
