A pensioner, 75-year-old Mohammed Hosein, has been charged with sexual penetration of a female minor. And was due to appear before a Siparia Magistrate.  Police charged the man from South Oropouche on Sunday, the day after the incident allegedly occurred.

Officers of the  South Western Division’s Child Protection Unit (SWDCPU) who investigated the report said the accused and the minor were found to be engaged in a sexual act at the accused’s home on Saturday 18th April 2020. A report was made to the police and the accused was arrested on that same date.
