Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley will remain in isolation at the official residence in Tobago, after a second test conducted on Monday confirmed he still has the Covid-19 virus.

The PM first tested Covid-19 positive exactly one week ago on Easter Monday, after experiencing flu-like symptoms..

“This morning he was swabbed and tested. Results indicate that he is still positive for the virus and therefore will remain in quarantine at Blenheim House in Tobago observing all the required health protocols under the care and observation of the medical staff of the Tobago Regional Health Authority,” a brief statement from the Office of the Prime Minister read. 

Dr. Rowley is said to be asymptomatic at this time and will continue working while in quarantine.
