Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley returned home on Thursday night, after spending just over three weeks in Los Angeles, California.

His arrival was confirmed via a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, issued in the early hours of Friday morning.

The PM will depart the country again on Saturday, when he heads to Suriname to attend the 43rd Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony on Sunday.

Dr. Rowley left the country on June 6th to attend the IX Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles. 

The summit ended on June 10th, however Dr. Rowley remained in LA to have routine medical tests done. 

A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister on Tuesday night read: “Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley completed his final medical consultation in Los Angeles, California …Dr Rowley’s medical test results were favourable.”
