Police arrest man at Port for possession of marijuana and alcohol

Police officers of the Central Police Station have arrested a man and seized quantities of marijuana and alcohol during an anti-crime exercise conducted at the Port of Port Of Spain compound, Dock Road, Port of Spain, this afternoon.
According to the TTPS:

“The exercise, conducted around 1:00pm, on Friday 7th February 2020, was coordinated by ACP Specialized Support, Odette Lewis, Supt. Ali and ASP Williams and included officers off the Canine Branch, Port Police and Customs and Excise Division.

A routine search exercise was conducted on the compound which resulted 340 grammes of marijuana and several cases of alcohol being found in an employee locker. A male suspect, employed at the Port, was arrested in connection with the find.”

He is expected to be charged with possession of marijuana and sale of alcohol under the Section 84:10 of the Liquor License Act.
