Police Charge 21-Year-Old With Firearm Related Offences

Police have charged a Maraval in connection with firearm-related offences arising out of a report of Robbery with Violence, which occurred on March 24th, 2025.

According to the TTPS, the 21-year-old of Latin Circular was arrested following diligent investigations conducted by officers of the West End/Maraval Criminal Investigations Department into a report of Robbery with Violence that occurred in the Paramin district earlier this week.

The suspect is expected to be charged with Robbery with Violence, Shooting with Intent, Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Firearm to Endanger Life, Possession of Ammunition to Endanger Life, Driving without a Driving Permit and Driving without a valid Certificate of Insurance.

Meanwhile, officers of the North Central Division Task Force, Area East, conducted an exercise between 4 pm and 7 pm on Thursday 27th March 2025, during which they proceeded to the Arouca district.

A search was conducted at Dickson Street, which resulted in three rectangular packages, containing a total of 1.6 kilogrammes of cannabis being discovered.

The exercise was spearheaded by ACP Singh, Snr. Supt. Pierre and Supt. Gift and included officers of the Canine Branch. Investigations are ongoing into the above matter.
