A brazen daytime shooting at the St. James Medical Complex on Wednesday morning ended with one man being killed.
Jamal Watts, age 31, who was employed as maintenance staff at the facility, was targeted by two masked gunmen around 10:30am as he was cutting grass at the back of the compound.
The men, armed with an assault rifle and a shotgun, ambushed Watts before fleeing the scene in a silver Hyundai Accent.
Meanwhile, the TTPS has “strongly condemned” yesterday’s shooting incident at the St. James Medical Complex, saying homicide investigators are in pursuit of the perpetrators.
In a statement last evening, the Police Service urged anyone with information about the murder to come forward.
The North West Regional Health Authority, in a statement on the incident, said counselling will be offered to staff at the facility.
