Police continue investigations into Toco find

Police are continuing investigations into two men who were arrested. They seized a firearm and quantities of narcotics during an Operation Strike Back II exercise conducted in the Toco district yesterday.

According to police reports: “Officers under the supervision of Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Dominique, conducted a road exercise along the Toco Main Road, between 5:00pm and 8:00pm, on Thursday 16th January 2020, during which they had cause to stop and search a silver Nissan X-Trail with two male occupants.”

Officers found two shotguns along with four 12 gauge cartridges. Officers also found 12.34 kilogrammes of cocaine and 38.6 kilogrammes of marijuana in the vehicle.

The suspects, a 41-year-old of Sangre Grande and a 25-year-old of Salybia, were arrested in connection with the finds.
