Police exercises across the Port of Spain Division yesterday, between 4 am and 10 am resulted in the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of a firearm and quantities of ammunition and marijuana. Some of the searches were executed in the Laventille and Belmont districts. During a search in the Laventille area, officers found a black plastic bag containing 90 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, 13 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, a pistol magazine and 1.1 kilogrammes of marijuana.
