Police, Fire Investigating Possible Bomb Threat Near AG’s Office

The Ministry of the Attorney General and the Education Ministry have been closed for today after a detonated device was found in a nearby car park.
 
This was confirmed by Attorney General Faris Al Rawi, who said at a media conference today that police and fire officials have evacuated the buildings and cordoned off the street to conduct their investigations.
 
Shattered glass was also found on the 6th floor of the AG’s office.
 
The media conference, which was called to address matters relating to the President, had to be held at state media house TTT Limited.
 
Further details on the threat would be provided by the investigative authorities, the AG said.
