Police officers across two divisions have arrested one man and seized quantities of cocaine during separate anti-crime exercises conducted in the St James and San Fernando districts.
According to the TTPS, on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., based on intelligence, officers proceeded to the Woodbrook Cemetery, located along Mucurapo Road, St. James. A search of the surrounding area was conducted, where officers discovered a black plastic bag concealed in a tree. The bag contained 25.1 grams of cocaine, $363.00 TTD in cash, and one digital scale.
The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Williams, coordinated by Insp Basant, supervised by Ag/Cpl Piper, with support from other officers of the St James Police Station and the Western Division Community Oriented Policing Section.
In a separate incident, around 4:00 p.m. on the same date, officers conducted an exercise in the La Romain district. During the exercise, PC Lalloo searched for a 29-year-old man of Charles Street, La Romain, along the Southern Main Road. He was found in possession of 18.2 grams of cocaine.
The man was cautioned, arrested, and conveyed to the San Fernando Police Station, where he is expected to be formally charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
