Police have arrested a man and seized a quantity of cannabis during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Western Division yesterday.

According to the TTPS, Task Force officers, with assistance from the ACP Tactical Operations Team, conducted the exercise between 8 pm and 11 pm on Tuesday 25th March 2025, in the Maraval district. Acting on this information, the officers proceeded to a house at Nicholas Street, where they conducted a search.

The search resulted in the discovery of 49 packages containing 26.76 kilogrammes of cannabis. A 31-year-old male suspect, who was in the house at the time of the search, was arrested in connection with the find.

This exercise was sanctioned by Snr. Supt. (Ag.), Williams, coordinated by Insp. Grant, and Sgt. (Ag.) Dominique, supervised by Cpls Stevenson and Peters and included PCs Hollingsworth, David, Thompson, Regis, Mc Clean, Wilson-Dowers, Williams, Myers, Bibby, Roberts and WPC Jackson.
