Officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) discovered a Glock pistol along with a magazine containing 13 rounds of 9mm ammunition during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Northern Division this week.

According to the TTPS officers acting on information conducted the exercise around 11:00am, on Wednesday 22nd January 2020, when they proceeded to the Maloney home of a suspect, where they executed a search warrant.

Nothing illegal was found inside the house, however, upon searching a bushy area located approximately 50 feet from the perimeter fence of the premises, officers found the gun

The exercise was spearheaded by Sgt. Mark Hernandez. Investigations are ongoing.
