From next Monday, October 25th, all students in forms 4-6 will be permitted to return to physical classes- even those who are unvaccinated. 

The change in government policy was announced by Education Minister Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly during a media conference on Wednesday afternoon. 

Dr. Gadsby-Dolly said the decision was made after consultation with the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association, TTUTA. 

The Minister said consideration was given to the fact that a large percentage of students are not vaccinated and their education was being jeopardised by having to depend on e-learning while those who are vaccinated were benefitting from face to face learning.

Forms 1-3 will continue to access learning remotely online.
