Political? Chief Secretary Denies Allegation That Wife Of PNM Official Was Maliciously Booted Out of Post

By Newsroom

Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Farley Augustine, is distancing himself and his party from allegations of political spite.

It comes after Minority Leader of the THA, Kelvon Morris, alleged his wife was fired from her job under the current administration, in a now deleted Facebook post.

Mr Augustine said the entire Community Partnership Unit is being restructured, denying the PDP had been targeting people affiliated with the PNM.

“Please don’t misconstrue the facts. The entire Community Partnership Unit is being restructured. It has nothing to do with your wife personally,” Mr. Augustine said in a post to his Facebook page.

“And just as an addition, I have a very very close relative, who walked in my wedding that is a part of the same unit that is now being restructured. This is not about your wife specifically, so don’t make it out to be what it isn’t,” the Chief Secretary continued.
